Because Foot Prints is a sport weight yarn, and therefore only 330yds per 4oz skein, many customers have asked for advice on the right pattern to use.

Foot Prints should be knit with larger needles than a fingering weight sock yarn. Because every knitter has a different tension, the right needle size will vary from person to person. The manufacturer suggests trying a size 3 and seeing how you like the fabric. Loose knitters might need to go down to a smaller size while tight knitters may need to goup.

Because Foot Prints is a squishy yarn, you can make it work with smaller needles. However, if you decide to use a pattern calling for size 1s, you may need to make the cuff a bit shorter to compensate.
